Wreath Orders

The beautiful evergreen products from our Evergreen Fundraiser will be arriving this week!!

 For those of you who placed orders, you can pick them up Thursday afternoon or Friday.

 For anyone who didn't get a chance to order a wreath, garland, centerpiece, etc. - it's not too late! Additional evergreen items will be available for sale at the auction on Friday, and at both of our school Christmas programs next week.

The Hour of Code is a global movement during the week of December 8th reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Anyone, anywhere can organize an Hour of Code event. One-hour tutorials are available in over 30 languages. No experience needed. Ages 4 to 104.

 

Kevin Tucker is heading up several after school sessions in the computer lab at Fairview for an Hour of Code. This is open to all students and parents.  Suggested age is 4 and up.  All parents that can come and help are welcome!  Currently planning these sessions to start at around 4:30pm on Tues, Wed, and Friday next week.

Calling All Grant Writers!  

Do you like to write?  Do you have experience writing grant proposals? We are looking for people who are interested in serving our school by investigating and applying for grants to support our fundraising efforts.  If you are interested, please email [email protected].

Need gift cards?  SCRIP available

Get your holiday shopping done and help support Fairview! If you haven’t heard, Scrip is a program where a percentage of gift card profits are given back to the school. Various gift cards will be available at both Christmas programs on December 8th and December 11th. Some of the options will be Amazon, Safeway, Starbucks, Subway, iTunes and movie tickets to AMC and Regal theaters. If you are in need of specific cards you may place an order with the office - the next order will go in on December 15 in order to get the cards before the Christmas break.

See's Candy - Orders Due Friday

Looking to give someone something sweet for Christmas? Order Sees Candy! Proceeds from this sale go to the 7th and 8th grade Washington D.C trip. Extra order forms available in the office and will need to be returned by December 5.

Fill a food box for Seattle's Union Gospel Mission

Help us fill our goal of ten food boxes for Seattle's Union Gospel Mission. In our state, nearly 300,00 children live in a household that struggles to put three nutritious meals on the table each day. A food box can feed a family of four - for a whole week!

Here is a list of items needed to complete each box

Peanut butter (2 jars)

Corn (2 cans)

Diced tomatoes (2 cans)

Tomato Paste (2 cans)

Instant Potatoes (1 small box)

Spaghetti pasta (2 packages)

Kidney Beans (2 cans)

Mac and cheese (4)

Green beans (2 cans)

Peaches (2 cans)

Cooking oil (1 small bottle)

Tuna (2 cans)

Chicken (2 cans)

Grape jelly

Rice (1 pound bag)

Spaghetti sauce mix (2 packages)

Sugar (1 pound box)

Powdered milk (one small box)

Coffee

Tea

Oatmeal/Cereal (1 box)

Brown sugar (1 package)

Cake mix (1 box)

Cake frosting (1 can)

Please place donated items in the box in the main hall. Or if your family or group of friends wants to get all the items to complete a box, you can pick up an empty box from the office. If you have other non-perishable food items that you wish to donate, there is also a barrel in the main hall for that purpose. Union Gospel Mission will pick up all items on December 19.
