2016 Scholastic Book Fair at Fairview

Fairview will again be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair during literature week, January 25 – January 29, 2016.  Please plan to stop by the fair in the main hallway after school next week and check out all the fantastic books.

Can’t make it to our Book Fair in the main hall or can’t find what you are looking for, check out our Book Fair Online http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/fairviewchristianschool which contains an expanded selection of books for all ages including adult. All orders placed online during Book Fair will be shipped free to the school within 10 business days.

We are still in need of morning and afternoon volunteers to help with Book Fair. If you would like to help out with Book Fair, and get in a few support hours, please contact Valerie at vldominique@comcast.net.

Please remember that all proceeds from the sale will go to purchase new books for our school library.

100th Day is Coming!

On February 10 we will celebrate by having each student bring 100 coins. Start collecting now!Coins will be used for math activities before giving a big boost to our chapel offering for feeding hungry kids in Guatemala. Any combination of coins will be greatly welcomed!

Stomach Bug

The nasty stomach bug is still going around and it’s hit our kids and the staff. It appears to start with either diarrhea and/or vomiting and lasts a day or two and they can actually still be contagious after they feel better.  We are doing our best to keep things well sanitized and enforcing washing hands more often than usual (which is pretty often). Please do not send your child to school if they have any of these symptoms and should not return until 24 hours symptom free!  Also this is also a good time to remind your child to ALWAYS wash their hands after they use the bathroom and before eating. Help us minimize the spread of the ick!!

Open House

January 28th we will be hosting  our ANNUAL Open House. This will start at 6p! This is a time that we will open our school to visiting families for a preview of classrooms and the wonderful educational program we offer at  Fairview. This would be a great opportunity for you to invite your friends to visit  the classrooms and ask questions about curriculum, activities, etc.

We do have a few PRE-K, K and middle school spaces available for next year.

AND---Don't forget about the Win-Win referral program!

Order Scrip

As we begin the new year we want to be sure we are maximizing our scrip program and we need your help. Our plan is to send home weekly order forms in your child's Wednesday packets(or for child center with your child's daily report). The next order will be placed Tuesday morning (1/26) all orders need to be into the office or submitted online by 9a. The cards will be available for pick up by Friday (1/29)

If there is anyone that would like to help us office gals get this program running a bit more smoothly- please let us know!

Here are a few places that we have on hand.

Target, TJ Maxx/Marshalls, Old Navy/Gap, Bath and Body Work, Starbucks Walgreens, Macy's, Barnes and Noble, Movie tickets from Regal and AMC
