PTF Meeting Minutes November 1, 2016

In Attendance: Valerie Dominique, Jennifer Laible, Alice Hansen, Holly Reichmann, Lonni Cerezo, Stacy Mitchell, Diego Laible, Kevin Tucker, Tamara Walker, and Peter Christensen. Meeting Began 6:30 PM. Lonni opened in prayer. Upcoming Events:  Jen Laible reported on Events. 11/4/16 – Early dismissal for K-8.  Child Center open as usual.  If your child needs afternoon you need to sign up in the office by Thursday afternoon. 11/5/16 – Holiday Marketplace – The Holiday Marketplace (formerly the Holiday Bazaar) will be held this Saturday, November 5, from 9-3 in the Fairview Gym.  We will have a full house that day. Please come and kick of your Christmas shopping with Fairview.  It’s going to be a lot of fun. Fairview will have a table and we will have blank tiles for kids and adults to color if they want along with invitations for Kindergarten Round Up and the Silent Auction.  The money from table rentals will go to the missions groups and the bake sale proceeds will be split between the Youth Mission Trip and the 7th & 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. 11/8/16 – Kindergarten Round Up – We have invited all of our Pre-K families and other interested families to our Kindergarten Round Up being held on November 8.  If you know of anyone who is looking at kindergarten for next year, please let us know so we can invite them.  Fairview is having a catered meal for interested families and a brief program to introduce our program, teachers and current families while their kids are at a pizza party upstairs. PTF Meeting 3/1/2016   Attendance: Susan Moriarty, Kevin Tucker, Samuel Sandelin, Jonathan Sandelin, Randel Bonn, Ella Bonn, Deanna Gallichan, Jen Laible, Valerie Dominique, Holly Reichmann, Whitney Haucke, Sharilee West   The meeting was called to order at 6:31 pm   Opening Prayer was led by President Jonathan Sandelin.   February Minutes were posted on website and there were no corrections or deletions.   Playground Playground committee met last week and is in contact with playground contractors. One contractor said we have a great blank slate Could potentially do the upgrade in phases –so there is less of a delay It may not be as enormous of an undertaking as originally thought We still need to look into the drainage issues on the playground Next step is to get a landscape architect and get a plan. We are hopeful there may be some connection within the Fairview Community for a landscape architect Playground committee has two open positions 1) chair and 2) fundraising chair Playground committee will be doing a community inclusive meeting to get feedback and ideas for the playground. (i/e a movie night or something similar) Dacia’s been looking at grants, but at this point we need more information before applying Would be great to have more members on the committee – let Jonathan Sandelin know if interested The playground committee will send a survey out to teachers to get feedback on the playground.   Events March 31st is the spaghetti dinner – we will need parent volunteers to help with this Looking at doing a Fairview Christian School at the Mariners day – tickets went up since...

PTF Meeting 11/3/2015 Attendance: Susan Moriarty, Bev Lehman, Kevin Tucker, Amanda Olson, Jonathan Sandelin, Samuel Sandelin, Holly Reichmann, Jen Laible, Valerie Dominique, Sharilee West, Peter Christensen, Nellena Christensen The meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm Opening Prayer was led by President Jonathan Sandelin. October Minutes were posted on website. Only correction was spelling of Korin Sandelin’s name. Events Holiday Bazar will be held on Saturday November 7, 2015 We need parents to help with the Thanksgiving Feast on November 18th. Darla Smatlak is the point person for this event. Jen will email everyone, but cannot until Shelia returns. Kindergarten Round Up is scheduled for November 17th at 6:00 pm. Invitations went out to all current Pre-K families. There will be a catered dinner for parents, as well as, dinner and baby-sitting for children. The agenda will be vision casting, time to eat, and dismissed. It will be a time for Pastor Glenn to reach out to current parents. He would like current families at each table to make connections with the parents. If you can attend please let Shelia know. Families outside of Fairview are invited. T-Shirt update – There were 4 drawings submitted. Please vote – one vote per person. Jen is going to get quotes on shirt prices from various vendors. Fundraising Jonathan gave a fundraising update for Korin. Chinook Books are closed out – we sold 185 items earning $2000 for the school. Prizes have been awarded. Wreath sale ends tomorrow (11/4/2015). Korin will submit final order on Monday. Top seller and Top selling class will get prizes. Target Fundraising – We have nothing...

PTF Meeting Minutes October 6, 2015

PTF Meeting 10/06/2015 Attendance: Jonathan Sandelin, Samuel Sandelin, Susan Moriarty, Jen Laible, Holly Reichman, Valerie Dominique, Sharilee West, Amanda Olson, Debbie Christensen, Leanna Ramos, Kevin Tucker The meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm Opening Prayer was led by President Jonathan Sandelin. September minutes were posted on the website. No one had any additions or corrections. All in attendance voted to approve the budget. Events The ice cream social was a great success.  A number of new families helped scoop ice cream. The feedback on the prizes for completing the classroom passport was great. There was a great turnout. The first family fund bake sale was held and $84.50 was raised.  The brownies were the biggest hit. The multicultural Dinner is October 22nd.  We will be eating in the auditorium and the displays will be in the gym.  Kids will be standing by the displays and talking about them, but there is no actual program. Upcoming events will be a November family fund bake sale.  The Bazaar is cancelled due to lack of vendors.  There are no PTF events in November. The Harvest Party is scheduled for October 30th. Jen discussed the survey results.  They don’t expect many more to come in.  The general theme is that people would like to see more art and upgrades to the playground, Fundraising Update Order forms for the wreath sale will go out shortly.  There is a small cost increase in the items for purchase and Corrin is going to go in and do rounding of prices so the prices are even numbers.  The dates for the sale are (about) October...
